Wow, this is my first blog and am not sure how this will go, lol! I have never really kept a consistent diary, ever. I figured it was time for me to join the 21st century, lol...
Well, I just returned from my cousin's wedding in Pasadena, MD. It was absolutely gorgeous, despite the weather. The road trip with my parents and brother on the other hand, had its moments. I was reminded why man discovered how to fly, lol! 10 hours in a car is not the most enjoyable thing. I often thought that Todd and I would be that old couple traveling around the United States in a RV. I don't really think that will happen now, lol! Todd is horrible in the car and I apparently have lost my love of the open road.
On the way up to the rehearsal dinner, we stopped at the Marine Corps Heritage Museum. It was absolutely awesome. Anyone that has been in the Marine Corps HAS to go and see it. It was cool being able to experience the different wars that Marines have been involved in. We ate lunch at Tuns Tavern (the birthplace of the Marine Corps). I know those that know Marines are shocked to learn that Marines were born in a bar, lol!
Anyways, I am so happy that Amanda found her heart in Justin. I didn't get to hang out with them for long, but I could tell he really makes her happy. She was a breathtaking bride. Her bridesmaids all were really beautiful. It is a total shame that the weather didn't hold out, but it rained on my wedding day. Justin's day said something perfect at the rehearsal dinner, that it has to rain in order for anything to grow. It really helped ease her mind.
I am going to try to keep this up! It might actually be therapeutic at times, lol! I won't promise every blog will be entertaining because my life is actually pretty boring, lol!
